Thank you both for such an enjoyable experience! I certainly recommend this little slice of paradise! Janine is very fun and is so passionate about the animals and John is very laid back and easy to get on with. So it was so nice to relax in this place. The accommodation was amazing also! There is a separate little cottage that has a big beautiful bathroom and very spacious living area and kitchen. It was a really great experience to work there as the farm is beautiful with cool animals around the place and the weather is perfect. The instructions were always very clear of what needed to be done and Janine was great with communication and then letting me work independently. If i was working outside, Janine always made sure i was not working in the heat of the day and allowed for flexibility with work. Janine made sure i had plenty of time to explore the area and was full of suggestions for local areas to check out. Some days i spent organising things and other days were spent in the garden or in the pool yard (Which has a lovely pool to jump into when you get … read more too hot). The work was so enjoyable and every day was something different. I spend 1 week with them on their beautiful farm. It was such a lovely experience staying with Janine and John. We definitely hope that we can meet Janine and John again before we leave Australia (And give John another Pool lesson !). It was an overall very enjoyable experience and we highly recommend it to any workawayer. Our job there mainly consisted of outside gardening activities (weeding, cleaning and preparing the vegetable/fruit garden for the spring season) and some painting. She left us an incredible selection of local and seasonal food to cook with and we also had the chance to share 2 delicious meals (cooked by Janine herself) with them. The independant flat is really comfortable, nice and private, and we didn't miss anything during our stay. Janine took us for a great tourist tour of the area, that we also had the opportunity to … read more discover by ourselves thanks to the 2 bikes available. They are lovely people that made us feel like we were at home. We could not have made a better choice ! We spent 10 amazing days at Janine and John's place. Janine reached out to us and we decided to accept although our initial plan was to stay in Sydney. The animals were all so beautiful and friendly, we had so much fun with Ryder (their German Shepard), Matilda and George (emus) and the alpaca, goats and sheep! Thank you so much Janine for hosting us, it was a fabulous first experience on Workaway and we will absolutely be back again! :) Staying at their property was a dream come true. We also got the chance to join them and their friends for Sunday tapas which was absolutely lovely. We really appreciated her taking the time to point out the best places in Coffs Harbour to visit. Janine was so welcoming and went above and beyond for us. The hours were great and were easily adjusted to suit our plans. My friend and I stayed for a week, doing outdoor jobs like weeding, gardening, pressure spraying and a bit of painting and … read more cleaning. We both had such an amazing time on their lovely hobby farm. If we could give Janine and John 6 stars we would! It was so sweet of them to help us out after our initial plan on the Sunshine Coast didn’t end up going ahead. Thank you so very much for letting me stay and your never ending generosity and kindness. I’m going to miss them all, humans, furred and feathered creatures, as well as this gorgeous place. The work here has been great and varied, from training and spending time with Ryder, the most gorgeous of German Shepherds, socialising the goat kids, weeding, planting, painting, scraping paint off a cupboard, feeding the various animals, prepping Janine’s birthday party, a bit of dusting… I’ve been here for nearly 3 weeks and it feels like I’ve hardly done anything (must work your workaways harder, Janine! □). She can’t do enough for you and this is supposed to be a work exchange… I’ve felt like royalty! So generous and caring, Janine is always bringing new food parcels, driving me to bush and beach walks all over the area, inviting me to join her on outings with her friends and I always feel so included. I’ve had to beg Janine for more work, I have felt so guilty for how spoiled I’ve been by her □. Then you add the most charming and laidback hosts to the mix and you get… paradise! You get your own flat, to the side of the main house, … read more so both you and Janine/Jon can have some privacy. This is a piece of Aussie paradise, mountain ranges as a back drop, a gorgeous garden and amazing animals everywhere you look. I’m leaving here in a couple hours, but I don’t want to go… I’ve had such a wonderful stay here with Janine, Jon and all their wonderful furry and feathered family. 11/19/2023 0 Comments Everything will be fine youtube"I think getting things into federal legislation and policy is important," she said. However, a pointy or square shape can be done on either of them. Bubble nails are meant to keep the nail bed short while hump nails have a lengthy shape. The main point is for the nail to have a popped out look.Īlthough the latest trend is escalating under two names, bubble nails and hump nails, there is a slight difference of technique between the two. Acrylics are essentially applied as thinly as possible but this look aims to be all about the bulk. To achieve the bubble nail look, the nail specialist places a ball of acrylic at the center of the nail and builds it out by adding layers to it. This new ‘bubble nails’ technique is also referred to as “hump nails” or “curve nails”. This trend is called the ‘bubble nail’ and it really is as obnoxious as it sounds.Īcrylic nails are typically aimed towards thinness, but this latest trend is a contrary version to acrylic nails and is all about creating bulk through layers and layers of acrylic, which would eventually shape up a large curve on the nail. This mayhem has come in the shape of a popular nail trend, where instead of experimenting with nail polishes and bedazzles, women have now started meddling with the actual shape of the nail, making it boisterous and seem 3D-esque. However, lately, in the manicure world, or I should say social media’s manicure world, a sort of mayhem has engulfed women. Keeping them manicured and well-maintained is not just a sign of a well-groomed person, be it a man or a woman, but it is also a way to pamper yourself. Therefore, one needs to take care of their nails. And while noticing the hand, the nails are scrutinized too – especially in case of women.
11/18/2023 0 Comments Large usb backup driveThat’s been the thing about spinning hard drives (HDDs) for a decade: You pay for the cheap space with all the time you won’t save. And it finished near the bottom of all of our performance tests. (A two-month membership to the Adobe CC Photography Plan, which includes Lightroom and Photoshop for organizing and editing your photos, is provided as well.)īut with square corners and an antiquated, two-tone design, the drive isn’t a looker. (Our review unit was the former.)Īfter your drive is registered, you can download Toolkit to enable automatic file backups or Mylio, for organizing your photos. (A Type-A adapter comes in the package to ensure the drive will work with a wide variety of systems.) But these are small nitpicks that don’t detract from one of the best external hard drives around.ĭespite measuring only 4.5 x3.2 x 0.8 inches - only slightly larger than a deck of cards - the HDD-based Seagate Backup Plus Portable packs either 4TB or 5TB of storage. And its included USB Type-C cable is exceedingly short: 6.5 inches, which makes using this drive a bit of a hassle on either laptop or desktop computers. With a price per gigabyte of $0.19, the 1TB model is one of the most expensive drives we tested. Best of all, it’s fast: The My Passport zoomed through all of our performance tests, invariably showing up somewhere in the winner’s circle for each. The My Passport SSD's software application gives you access to My Cloud Home Storage and lets you download other WD utilities. It’s small (3.9x 2.2x 0.4 inches) and attractive, with its shiny ridged surface and choice of five snazzy colors (blue, gold, gray, red, and silver). The WD My Passport SSD with USB 3.2 doesn’t look like its travel-enabling namesake, the My Passport Go, but it’s all ready to go places. The newer version costs twice as much, but if super-fast reads are your game, then go for it. Since we tested the Extreme Pro Portable SSD, SanDisk has released a second version that integrates USB 3.2 to get speeds of up to 2,000Mbps but looks exactly the same as its predecessor. The drive is a shade expensive, and the integrated carrying loop is too big to easily fit on a standard keychain. Otherwise, this is an excellent storage device that's ideal for heavy everyday use. The SanDisk Secure Access application applies general encryption, too. Ok, how about speed? The USB 3.1 version of the Extreme Pro Portable SSD is rated for sequential reads of 1,050MBps, and in our own performance tests, it routinely came out at or near the top of the rankings. Suave looks? Its rounded corners, black-and-red coloration, delicately pockmarked front and soft-touch back give it an appearance and feel that are both thoroughly modern and refreshingly classic. No matter what you want from the best external hard drive, the SanDisk Extreme Pro Portable SSD delivers it.Ĭonvenient design? 11/18/2023 0 Comments Flask blueprint exampleThe definition of Blueprints doesn’t exactly illustrate how it works, let’s take an example with a web application. Introduction to Blueprintsīlueprints aid in organizing components of our web applications into distinct components. To avoid the cons of building large-scale applications with the basic structure of flask, we need to understand Blueprints and Application Factory. It would prove inefficient to write the code for each feature in the app folder or to store all the HTML files for each feature in the template directory without appropriate structure, this will result in conflict and it also makes debugging difficult. While this basic application structure suffices for building small-scale applications, what happens if we need to start implementing additional features such as Authentication, Email, Errors, Database, User Profile, and many more as the application demands. The templates folder consists of the HTML files to be rendered to the user.Īs an intermediate developer, running this application will result in a “Hello World” statement printed out on your web browser. The app.py file consists of the app route and the run statement, while the static folder stores the CSS, JS, and image files we would require in building our web application. In the cloned repository, we have the app.py file, the static folder, and the templates folder. To examine the basic structure of a Flask web application, let’s clone this repository here Examining a Basic Flask Application Structureīefore we delve into the structuring of a large-scale Flask application, let’s first understand how a basic Flask application is structured. However, if you have no prior knowledge of setting up a Flask web application, read my article on the Flask framework here. To keep the introductory section of this article concise, I won’t cover how to set up a Flask web application. However, if you have a different preference in terms of IDE, then you should consider installing a virtual environment and installing Flask. In this tutorial, the use of P圜harm Integrated Development Environment is recommended, because it has all the features required to set up a basic application.
11/18/2023 0 Comments Honey bee wingsIn most climates, western honey bees swarm in the spring and early summer, when there is an abundance of blooming flowers from which to collect nectar and pollen. Western honey bee colonies reproduce through a process called " swarming". This means that reproduction of the colony, rather than individual bees, is the biologically significant unit. Because of this high degree of sociality and permanence, western honey bee colonies can be considered superorganisms. Unlike most other bee species, western honey bees have perennial colonies which persist year after year. Bees are unaggressive in this state, since they have no hive to protect. Main article: Honey bee life cycle Colony life cycle A bee swarm. Humans are responsible for its considerable additional range, introducing European subspecies into North America (early 1600s), South America, Australia, New Zealand, and eastern Asia. The species is believed to have originated in Africa or Asia, and it spread naturally through Africa, the Middle East and Europe. The western honey bee can be found on every continent except Antarctica. Western honey bees are an important model organism in scientific studies, particularly in the fields of social evolution, learning, and memory they are also used in studies of pesticide toxicity, especially via pollen, to assess non-target impacts of commercial pesticides. Further research is required to enable differentiation between wild and non-wild colonies in order to determine the conservation status of the species in the wild, meaning self sustaining, without treatments or management. Numerous studies indicate that the species has undergone significant declines in Europe however, it is not clear if they refer to population reduction of wild or managed colonies. There are indications that the species is rare, if not extinct in the wild in Europe and as of 2014, the western honey bee was assessed as "Data Deficient" on the IUCN Red List. Western honey bees are threatened by pests and diseases, especially the Varroa mite and colony collapse disorder. With human assistance, the western honey bee now occupies every continent except Antarctica. The western honey bee was one of the first domesticated insects, and it is the primary species maintained by beekeepers to this day for both its honey production and pollination activities. Colony activities are organized by complex communication between individuals, through both pheromones and the dance language. Individual colonies can house tens of thousands of bees. Like all honey bee species, the western honey bee is eusocial, creating colonies with a single fertile female (or " queen"), many normally non-reproductive females or "workers", and a small proportion of fertile males or " drones". The genus name Apis is Latin for "bee", and mellifera is the Latin for "honey-bearing" or "honey carrying", referring to the species' production of honey. The western honey bee or European honey bee ( Apis mellifera) is the most common of the 7–12 species of honey bees worldwide.
